R&B Magazine inspiration
I did some research into front covers of R&B magazines so as to gain inspiration for creating my digipak. This is useful because many of the codes and conventions on music magazines are similar to those of a digipak. This is because they both include a bold title, colour scheme and house style. Codes and conventions such as barcodes and website, social media are the same as on my digipak and album advert as well.

Task: 42 - Music Video Rough Cut
This is our music video as it currently stands.
Improvements that still need to be made:
Fill any gaps
Make the video slightly less descriptive and more about having interesting and engaging shots
Film a dinner scene between the protagonist and his girlfriend
Film clubbing scene as a way of cutting between shots.
We asked our target audience for feedback; most of which was positive and the constructive criticism we received we have ensured that we are working on the suggestions that were put forward.

Task: 40 - Music Video Rough Cut Feedback
Having created a rough draft of our music video, we went out and asked our target audience what they thought of it in an attempt to further our understanding of what was well received and what could be improved so as that our final product would be to the taste and high expectations of our target audience.
Audience feedback has proved to be a vital component in the creation of each part of our music video and ancillary tasks as it shows us from an external perspective what is good and what needs changing, and as these are the very people that we are aiming our products at, it is important that they are happy with the product.
Task: 39 - Feedback from target audience on ancillary tasks
I went out and got feedback from my target audience regarding my ancillary tasks: both my digipak and my album advert. This feedback was highly useful, because although mostly positive, there were a couple of critiques that I ensured I changed before submitting my final products.
I am lucky enough that my target audience falls into my own age group and therefore meant it was easy to get people from my target audience to analyse my products. Thankfully, they liked both my digipak and my album advert and thus there was not vast amounts that needed changing. I felt that interviewing my target audience personally was much more effective than simply sending out a standard questionnaire or presenting my findings on a presentation based programme, because I was able to get much more detail out of the questions by simply letting them view each product and talk about them.

Task: 33 - Production Update
After receiving some feedback, it soon came to our attention that our music video did not have a wide enough variety of footage with differing scenes and camera shots. We therefore decided to go out and do some more filming, this time in a more abstract location in Camden to show variety. We shot the protagonist walking along with his girlfriend, his girlfriend with an over the shoulder shot showing the protagonist talking to another girl, and other shots of the protagonist walking around a dilapidated part of Camden which we felt represented his mood at the time.
We planned out each of these shots before we filmed them so as to speed the process along and not waste time, something we have been guilty of in the past.
Task: 32 - Permission to film in public spaces

Whilst out filming in public spaces, we felt it was our duty to bring with a permission slip from the school to explain to anyone who was suspicious why we were there and why we were filming.
This was especially useful when we were filming in Brent Cross, as we were questioned numerous times by security, who we also had to get permission from before we began filming along with permission from the individual stores we were filming in such as Fenwick and Victoria's Secret.

Task: 30 - Costume
I have completed some research into the costume that our character's groups shall be wearing in the video and have documented my findings in this pontoon.
We have ensured as a group that the costume choices that we made are easily accessible to us as well as keeping the genre and the style of the music video.
